Looking at how to care for and maintain a trampoline? Having good equipment to train on is the basic foundation of any sport to ensure your athletes can reach their full potential, and trampoline gymnastics is no exception to that. This is why maintaining your equipment is the most beneficial thing you can do both longevity and quality wise.

It’s important to get into a good routine with some simple equipment maintenance checks which will help to give you peace of mind that your equipment is in safe working order for your gymnasts as well as prolonging your equipment’s life.

Don’t forget to always check the manufacturers guidelines for the specific trampoline you have.

When arranging the equipment make sure to check the headroom above the trampoline and any risk of hitting walls, lighting or other obstructions like a basketball hoop for example. Make sure that the recommended safety matting is provided. You can find guidance from British Gymnastics on their Matting Provisions document.  The Trampoline Code of Practice can give you tips on equipment arrangement, safety checks and safe coaching practice.

  3. No missing springs or broken anchor bars
  4. Spring hooks are all pointing down

Annual Checks

We recommend having an experienced engineer carry out a routine inspection annually to ensure your trampoline equipment is in a safe condition and fit for purpose. Our engineers will leave you with inspection reports for your records and also a list of recommendations for repairs if necessary.

Well looked after equipment not only helps to save money, but also ensures that your athletes have the best chance at success in their sporting careers by training on the most state of the art equipment in perfect working order.
