10 Ways To Use An AirSpot

What Can I Do On An AirSpot?

AirSpots are so much more than just an inflatable mat. Visiting a customer recently, I was asked how an AirSpot should be used. There is no simple one answer to this question because AirSpots are such a unique and versatile product. So, I’ve put together a list of 10 ways you can use an AirSpot, including as many disciplines as I can to give you a broad overview, and hopefully a little inspiration, on this fantastic piece of equipment.

1. Tabata Training

Tabata training is one of the most popular forms of high-intensity interval training. Use the AirSpots as a rebounder for a great cardio workout. Check out the video below from Instagram’s kinetic.training for a little inspiration. Exercise is known to release endorphins, the feel-good chemical in your brain. These can help to reduce stress and ease anxiety and depression. It’s also a fun way to exercise that is easy on your joints. It’s a great piece of equipment to offer a vigorous workout and strengthen the muscles needed for a healthy cardiovascular system.

2. School Sports

Is your school short on storage space for PE equipment? If the answer is yes, then look no further. These mats fold away into compact transport bags and inflate again in minutes. The importance of sports and games in school encompasses more than just the benefits of physical activity. It increases self-esteem and mental alertness in every child. Use AirSpots to engage students and improve skills in many different disciplines. They can be used indoors or outside, assisting with activities such as dance, gymnastics or incorporate in an obstacle course.

3. Gymnastics

All ATF products are easy on the body, lightweight and small in storage. They can make training safer and more effective than traditional equipment. The soft and bouncy circular air products encourage kids to challenge themselves for every occasion. Experts will tell you how important it is to keep kids active, incorporating AirSpots into your gym is a great way to get the kids more interested in exercising jumps and methodical training.

4. Stunts

Compared to foam mats, inflatable mats increase the possibility for repetition and reduces the risk of injury. Grow your skill level with products that are incredible for tricking and stunts.

5. Home Gymnastics

Want to get better at gymnastics fast? Training at home is a great way to improve and perfect those skills already learnt at the gym, with the power of repetition and some great home gymnastics products.

With AirSpot’s you can take your training home safely. All products can be folded away into compact transport bags for easy storage when they are not in use. Practice your balance, landings, turns or even split leaps, with the confidence of an extra boost and a soft landing.

Northern Ireland gymnast Emily has quickly developed a passion for gymnastics and some fun and crazy ideas to use air products at home. With over 163k followers on Instagram she has really put our products to the test. Check out her Instagram account here.

6. Trampoline Parks

Air products are not a replacement for a trampoline, but they do offer a broad range of new possibilities for trampoline parks and entertainment shows. They are unique because they are bouncy for jumping, yet stable enough for running and playing.

7. Senior Gym

Overcoming obstacles to getting active at an older age is tough, this is where ATF products can help. They are soft on the body and joints and can help with fall prevention training. Opting for the large AirSpot allows you to play with the pressure of the product, making the AirSpot as firm or soft as you like, to really assist with those balance exercises.

8. Martial Arts

Give an extra bounce to your footwork with the large AirSpot. Discover a completely new way to train and enjoy your favourite sport. Using the AirSpot you’ll be using different muscles than you usually would, and a softer landing to the exercises is less impact on your joints.

9. Physiotherapy

My 5-year-old son has joint hypermobility, we use a medium AirSpot at home, as a type of trampoline. Hypermobility means his joints are more flexible than other people’s, which can cause pain and instability. The AirSpot helps give him a stable surface to jump on and to use as a step for physiotherapy exercises. Exercise is essential to improve joint stability, so using this product will really help his development, whilst making the physio fun for him.

10. Cheerleading

The small AirSpot is the perfect product to assist with mastering those cheerleading jumps, and it’s the closest to offering a similar feel to a sprung floor. From the Spread Eagle to the Double Nine, the extra boost will help you get a little higher, giving you more time in the air to perfect the detail of the skill.

There are three sizes of AirTrack Factory AirSpots available, they range in thickness and diameter.

  • Small AirSpot - 10cm thick, 70cm diameter
