Christmas Party Ideas for Gymnastics and Trampoline Clubs
If you’re looking to get inspired and make your Christmas party extra special this year, you’re in the right place… we’ve got some crackers for you!
We want to help you feel less frenzied and more festive with a little inspiration for your Christmas party planning. Let’s have some fun and make this year's Christmas party one to remember. Along with a little spoiler alert to let you know our plans for our Christmas sale this year.
Whether you are looking to add a little Christmas sparkle into your last trampoline or gymnastics session before the Christmas break or having a special Christmas party afternoon to give the parents some stress-free shopping time, we’ve got ideas that will get the kids laughing out loud.
Party Dress Code Ideas
Adding a dress code is certain to build some excitement, and you can be as wild or tame as you like with this one.
To keep it on the tame side, just ask the children to come dressed in Christmas colours. For example, go green to symbolise the evergreen plants like holly, ivy, and mistletoe. White to symbolise the purity of snow, red for Santa, you see where we are going with this… Keeping it simple could help to not add to the parent's pre-Christmas pressure, but still makes it special for the children.
Or you can go to the other extreme and go all out with a fancy-dress theme. Just be careful that the costume are also safe to exercise in if you are building this into a training session.
Games Ideas For Your Trampoline or Gymnastics Christmas Party
- A test of endurance
Why not build that warm-up routine into your Christmas theme by revamping the 12 days of Christmas song?
- A test of imagination
Snowball sprint is a game to test the children’s imagination in an open-ended game where only their imagination is the limit. Set the imaginary scene in your gym for a white Christmas and encourage the children to practice their imaginative play. There are no winners in this game, but it is great fun and will have the kids laughing out loud as they imagine aiming and landing a snowball on their coach or fellow gymnasts.
- A test of skill
Land a beanbag on Rudolph’s nose. Simply print an image of Rudolph, lay it on the floor and get the kids to stand back and aim their beanbags. The closest to land on Rudolph’s nose wins the game.
- A test of balance
This one is a real Christmas Cracker! Using either two small AirSpots or an AirBeam, get two gymnasts to centre their balance, then using a battlebeam as a Christmas cracker play a tug of war game until a gymnast loses balance. The gymnast to stay balanced on either the AirSpot of AirBeam wins the game.
- A test of memory
This memory game can be played on either a trampoline or AirTrack/AirFloor. Simply take turns in completing a move and then adding another move to the pattern. So, for example the first player does a tuck jump on the trampoline, the second player will do a tuck jump and then add their own move to the sequence. This game can be played all year round, but to make it Christmassy try renaming some moves, like the snowball for a tucked somersault, snow angels for cartwheels, Buddy hops, squat hugs or Santas coming excited lunges.
